Homemade: Escort Cards

Happy Thursday loves!  I am happy to say that I have created my own homemade post for you today.  It's an easy homemade project that everyone can do.  I think it is the teacher in me (my degree is in Business Education) that came up with this idea.  How cute would it be to use rulers as escort cards?  Well, take a look-see and let me know...
Rulers-Lightened
I purchased the rulers at Beverly's Fabric and Crafts, wrote names of guests on them, as well as drew a heart around a number for the table they are to sit at!  Now if I was going to use this idea in reality...I would have someone that writes much nicer than me do it!

I added a couple of other small elements...such as fabric ribbon on the basket, a heart shaped paper clip I made and some flags made from ruled practice writing paper.  To finish the look I brought in a chalkboard, books, scissors, a key, a magnifying glass, a desk lamp and a mason jar that are all vintage.  And of course the fabulous picture of my grandma and grandpa at the beach!

As always - remember that by changing out the details you can change the look.  I think a retro look would be fun too.
