...you can't have sparkly shoes as centerpieces?
I L-O-V-E this idea for a bridal shower or bridesmaids luncheon! Especially with the tissue paper fluffies inside. So cute, no?

Tuesday Thought: Cocktails and Confetti and Centerpieces - Oh My
Hooray for Tuesday! Gotta tell you that I am super-duper excited that it's Tuesday today. Why, you ask? Well because I might possibly get to see an option or two for LCW's new look today...weeeeeee. Now that Over The Moon Vintage Rentals' website is up and running, I can focus on LCW's new look. I know Carolynn of Two Brunettes is going to creating some amazingness for me ;-) She did it once with OTMVR, and she'll do it again with LCW!
And with the new look will be some new news. No, not Luna and Chloe Handcrafted on Etsy - that is happening later this week. This is never before been said news. And you know what, I am really looking forward to having everything done and all news said, and moving forward with business as usual. Because you are probably getting tired of me talking about all of it! I'm kinda getting tired of talking about it too...and just want to get working! As I told Aunt Millie the other day: "The pots not brewing, it boiling!. And it's about ready to boil over!" Ha ;-)
Okay, enough of that and on with this week's 'Tuesday Thought' which is all about confetti! Why confetti? Well first because confetti is just down right fun. And second, because I am in the process of making something kind of, but not really, similar to this 'Tuesday Thought' for my Luna and Chloe Handcrafted Etsy store...which I will share with you on Thursday. Anyhoo, I ran across this cute confetti made from paint strips on The Bride's Guide...
Then I saw this picture...
And thought: Why not add a little fun and color to the each table by just adding some confetti, as above. I don't know if it was just styled like this for the picture or not, but I do love the idea of having it on each table. ***Keep in mind though loves, that if you are going to use paint strips they are only colored on one side, so the backside must be on the table.
Or better yet, have a confetti centerpiece! A different apothecary jar (I have bunches of them for rent on OTMVR...even though only two are on the site currently) on each table, filled with colorful confetti would be a great cost effective centerpiece option if handcrafted. Just make sure the paper you are using is two sided. I am not saying the jars have to be filled to the top here - just about 1/3 the way up would be perfect. And if you use larger punches, like above, it wouldn't be too much work with some help from friends or family. I would suggest hosting a 'Cocktail and Confetti' party! Now tell me that doesn't sound like fun?
Hmmm...just might get my girls to help me...hehe! Happy Tuesday loves - hope it's a good one.

Tuesday Shoesday #38: On the Diagonal
In Yves Saint Laurent's black and white suede and patent leather wedges...
And with this black and white cake by Sweetapolita...
Eeks ~ how fabulous is this match up today my dears? I love how the wedges are a mary jane...which adds a vintage vibe, yet they are still kind of modern. As with the cake, it's the pearl detail that gives it a vintagey vibe. And did you notice how the white on the shoes, pairs up perfectly with the white on the cake? A match made in shoe/cake heaven, no?

...in the Utterly Engaged Issue No. 16...
...the Fizz and Frills event feature starting on page 104...
...Over The Moon Handcrafted's table with pieces from Over The Moon Vintage Rentals on page 107...
Oh my goodness, I was over the moon to see my table featured! (And yes Chris, I did the kangaroo hop - hehe) So do you lovelies see me back there behind my table? You can see my hair and forehead just under the tissue paper pom poms ;-) Golly do I do camouflage well!
Over The Moon Vintage Rentals is also mention on page 108, and there are two more pictures of my items on page 109. And of course, I am in the way back in the group picture on page 114...just above Henny!
I had such an AMAZING time at this event! I can't wait for another pop up shop to pop up so I can partake in it again. I met some amazing people that day - Henny, Lucia, Hazel, Wilmarose, Summer, Danni, and Emarie just to name a few were all so lovely. They truly were a pleasure to meet and talk to, and I look forward to the possibility and/or opportunity to talk to them all again one day. Thank you all for taking the time to chat with me, your sweet comments and making my experience just fabulous! Mwah.

Flowers of the Week: 8.29.11
Good golly - tell me it isn't so...there is absolutely no way possible that this is the last Monday in August! Eeks, maybe I should be posting Fall flowers this week. No, I am not ready yet...so it is just gonna have to wait until next Monday, when it is actually September and a bit closer to Fall. Yes, that seems more appropriate, doesn't it? However, I sure do have some pretty ones coming next week ;-)
And since I am NOT posting Fall flowers today, how about this swoonworthy bouquet to remind us how spectacular Summer really is...
So soft and pretty. I love the textures in this bouquet too. And you know those tendrils that spring out from the top, and even the one below by her bracet, well I love them! I know some might not, but I oh so do.
Hope this adds some pretty to your Monday. Wishing you a great one my dears!

Darling Detail No. 21: Feather Garland
Garlands of feathers hanging overhead...
...are not only darling, but pretty darn spectacular too. (Hehe - just had to fit in one last feather post.) I sure do wish I was going to a wedding or event this weekend that had this, don't you?
And while I am not going to a wedding this weekend with feathers overhead, I am looking forward to this weekend as I am crafting an order, crafting up some other sparkly goodness, putting together Luna and Chloe's Etsy store inventory, working on a display area setup for something...will share more with you soon, hopefully going to see the movie The Help, picking up a rental, and taking a 6 hour sewing class on Sunday which I am soooo looking forward too! And if time allows I plan on fitting in an afternoon nap on Saturday. Oh how I love afternoon naps...yes, I will make sure that time will most definitely allow ;-)
My dears - hope you have a spectacular weekend!

Something Sparkly
This post is LONG overdue! I am not kidding here...like should have done this post months ago. And I have been feeling guilty that I just haven't done it yet. I know that I have been insanely busy, averaging about 4 hours of sleep a night (if I'm lucky), but still when a thank you is due it should be given immediately. Where are my manners? I pride myself on my manners. I ALWAYS say thank you...it's just part of who I am. But it is obvious my manners have gone out the window...hmmm I think they might have taken my sleep with them....still no excuse. So before my guilt eats me up anymore - I am FINALLY going write this post, and say the long over due thank you today.
About two months ago (eeks, has really has been that long - how awful of me) I received an e-mail from the offices of Elva Fields. Yes, THE Elva Fields. I have professed my LOVE for her creations a handful of times (and I am sure there will be a handful more to come) here at LCW, so in appreciation of my posts Elva Fields' office said they would be sending me 'something sparkly'. Really, me? A gift? OMGoodness - waiting for the 'something sparkly' felt like I was waiting for Christmas morning when I was a kid!
And when my Christmas morning (well it was really afternoon) came, and I received the pretty little package with 'something sparkly' - guess what was inside? These...
Gorgeous, no? I am OVER THE MOON about them. They have already become my FAVORITE pair. They are just the perfect dainty size...but with the bling in the middle they are noticeable, but not over the top. I wear them almost everyday because they are just that fabulous.
Golly, I sure am one lucky girl for getting a gift like this. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ELVA FIELDS for the extremely generous gift! And please accept my apology for taking so long in getting this thank you to you!
Oh and if you're looking for bridesmaids gifts these would be perfect for your girls...they will love them ;-)
***Note to self: Write the thank you immediaetly, and try to NEVER let this happen again!

LCW Style: Feathers in Your Hair
It's funny how sometimes I get on a kick with something without really trying. Does this ever happen to you? Goodness, please say yes ;-)...at least to make me feel better! Anyhow, on Tuesday I posted shoes and a cake with feathers, then on Wednesday a tepee with feathers...and all week I have been seeing feathers everywhere.
And tonight I found a few fabulous feathers for your hair that I just had to share! I know I have posted about Twigs & Honey before, but never ones with feathers. I gotta say I just L-O-V-E Myra's creations. Am I a fan - HUGE one ;-) Have a look-see, and I am sure you'll be one too...
How's that for a feather cascade? Gorgeous, isn't it? Just as gorgeous as this flapper inspired headband...
OMGoodness, since I am not getting married anytime soon, I think I just might have to be a flapper for Halloween this year, just so I can wear this headband!
I think these have to be some of the prettiest feathers for your hair I have ever seen. And I can't wait to see what Myra creates for the 2012 collection - you know it's going to be amazing!

Handcrafted: Tissue Paper Pom Pom's
Can I get a HIP HIP HOORAY for it being Thursday? Now that's the spirit my dears ;-)
And here is something I handcrafted that will help you get into the CHEERful spirit even more...
My handcrafted tissue paper pom poms! Eeks - I cannot tell you how much I LOVE these. I can't help but smile when I see them, and they are so darn fun I can barely stand it. They look FABULOUS all grouped together, and I can totally see them over a ceremony area. I also LOVE them on a string/twine, as above. Hanging them throughout a reception area would be wonderful. Plus, let me add a stick to them, and they are the perfect send off at the end of the night. However, you might like them best draped in rows, one on top of the other, to form a tissue paper wall. Really - I have about 100 more ways to use these darlings...chair back anyone?
I am taking custom orders for these lovelies in my Over The Moon Handcrafted Esty shop. You can find them right here. Just let me know the color and I will handcraft them just for you. They are also on Over The Moon Vintage Rentals website in the Inventory, Handcrafted section as well.
Ooh, I am going to be adding metallic ones too to my Luna and Chloe Handcrafted Etsy shop next week...talk about glamming it up - it is oh so easy to do with these! I will be telling you all more about the Luna and Chloe Handcrafted Etsy shop next week...lots of glittery, goodness coming loves.
And of course you know I have to end with this...I've got spirit, yes I do. I got spirit, how about you? I know, I know - call me a dork, but I just couldn't resist ;-)
P.S. - I know a well known fabulous someone that was at Fizz and Frills that loved these too...she ended up walking away with some! And yes, she has lots of 'Summer' spirit ;-) Hehe. Thank you bunches for loving my pom poms, and for your oh so sweet words about my table display! You made my day...no my month ;-)))

Geometric
Triangles have never looked so pretty...
Wouldn't you agree? And while I am not usually a geometric loving girl, I do have to admit I love the clean simple lines and the color of these.
P.S. - I must be on a triangle kick...the teepee earlier, and now these...I guess it just a triangle kind of day!

Happy, happy, happy Monday morning to you loves! What a wonderful Monday it has been this morning ;-) The launch of Over The Moon Vintage Rentals is taking place at 7:00 a.m. California time, and I am doing the kangaroo hop in excitement. I sincerely hope you love the website and new blog as much as me. I can't wait for you to see. Look - I am a poet and didn't even know it! Aye - that is no sleep, goofy girl talking there.
However - until then I thought I would leave you with this eye candy...
A breathtaking bouquet for the 'Flowers of the Week' this week. Now that is how to start off a Monday morning, right? Hope this isn't the only breathtaking thing you see today...hehe ;-)
Oh loves, I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I will be back here at 7:00 a.m. with a link post to the new site...and then of course again at 10:00 a.m. with my second post of the day. And after that - this girl is heading back to bed...as I am TIRED...but in the absolutely best tired way!

Handcrafted: Crocheted Bunting
Happy Thursday my dears! There is so much going on here at LCW and OTMVR that I can barely see straight ;-) I am starting to repeat myself, getting totally sidetracked and will be in the middle of something and forget what I was doing...I'm keep telling myself that it's just because I am so busy, and not that I am old - HA! I think I will just keep telling myself that no matter what. Oh but wait....gotta switch the laundry first.
(Jeopardy! think music plays here to fill the space.)
Okay, I'm back. Well I need clean sheets, no? I swear I always sleep better on clean sheets, don't you agree? Love clean sheets. Anyhoo, enough about me losing it and my laundry, and on with this post already.
For this first week of 'Handcrafted' I thought it would be fitting to share with you my handcrafted crocheted bunting. I ADORE this bunting! Have a look-see...
I sell this bunting in my Over The Moon Handcrafted Etsy store. I also offer it up with painted wooden letters attached so you could spell things out like names, just married, sweets, love, welcome, etc... Each flag measures 7 1/4" tall and 9" wide at top of flag, so they are fairly decent size. I need to get another picture of it hanging up so everyone can see how darling it really is!
Actually, this is the only item in my store that I do not make myself. My super creative and oh so talented mom makes this crocheted bunting for me. And it can be made in any yarn color that you want!
Also, I will be adding some rectangular shaped crocheted bunting to my Etsy store as well. And that I make. I however can only make squares...for now. I've always known how to make squares, yet I am gonna learn how to do triangles...I am! ;-)
P.S. - It is sooooo perfectly sweet for a baby shower or a babies room...as it's nice and soft. And for the record, I don't have time to watch TV these days...besides Bachelor Pad - hey don't judge!

Okay, I'm back. Well I need clean sheets, no? I swear I always sleep better on clean sheets, don't you agree? Love clean sheets. Anyhoo, enough about me losing it and my laundry, and on with this post already.

Tuesday Thought: Name Change
Wow, what a morning this has been! I feel like I have spent an entire day working already and it's only 10:45 am...how does that happen? And yet again, I am late getting this second post up as well...but I have been very productive this morning, and have accomplished bunches of things.
The first thing I wanted to get accomplished today was opening my Etsy store for Over The Moon. And I can proudly say that is done. So - CHECK! You can see my new, totally empty store right here...OTM Handcrafted...which brings me to the title of this post.
Since I started LCW, I have always called the items I crafted homemade. However, I have continued to call things 'homemade' because that is what I started with...but I have been wanting to call things handcrafted for ages now. So I finally decided to make the change! From here on out all my 'Homemade' posts will be called 'Handcrafted'...and I just wanted to share that with you, so I don't confuse everyone ;-) Which I am sure I did, and will with this!
And yes, I know my store is currently empty - but I spent the majority of yesterday photographing most of my handcrafted items for the store. I plan on working this week getting everything uploaded to Etsy, and should have everything completed by Monday, August 22nd.
I have lots of new items that will be added to the store that you have not seen yet, like these fabric covered letters, which will be available in the shop later today...
Cute, no?
I can do ANY letters in ANY fabric - either that you choose, or I choose for you. I am selling these by letter - so you can spell out anything you'd like. The letters are covered with fabric pieces, it is NOT decoupaged on...so you can actually feel the fabric. All orders are custom and made once the order is placed. But all the details will be on Etsy. Eeks, can't wait to get everything up for you to see ;-)
So be sure to be ready to check it all out once I announce the 'Grand Opening' of OTM Handcrafted ;-)
P.S. - I still have a shop for Luna and Chloe on Etsy as well, and I will be sharing what I am doing with that in the next week or so as well! Think OTM as vintage, and LCW as a bit more glam. Along with another shop you will be able to find OTM vintage rentals, and handcrafted items in. See...I've been a very busy, busy girl ;-)

Tuesday Shoesday #36: Marvelous Metallic
Eeks - running a bit late again this morning loves! Hope your morning is a good one. I can't believe that I am actually going to say this...but I am thinking about Fall! I know, I am so not ready for it. Yet, when I ran across these Christian Louboutin metallic pumps...
...I couldn't help but think how marvelous they would be for a Fall wedding ;-) The bronze color is such a gorgeous color, and would add such a rich and glamorous feel. And I found the perfect cake to go along with them! Have a look-see at this loveliness created by the insanely talented Melody of My Sweet & Saucy...
Both are soft and rich and smooth and not over done. A perfect match if there ever was one, no?
P.S. - I saw the first look of Over The Moon Vintage Rentals new website yesterday and I gotta tell you...L-O-V-E it to the moon and back! Can't wait to share with you ;-)

Flowers of the Week: 8.15.11
Wishing you a wonderful Monday morning my dears! I can't tell you how excited I am that today is Monday...I know, crazy right? Usually I don't want Monday's to come, but today is special. Why, you ask? Well today I get to see the first look of Over The Moon Vintage Rentals' website! Eeks...I can't wait to see it all.
Carolynn of Two Brunettes is AH.MAZING to not only work with, but her designs are OVER THE MOON! Talk about one uber talented lady ;-) If you are looking for a designer, than trust me, you MUST contact Carolynn. She is super easy to work with, listens, cares, is patient and is so helpful. Yet, I must also tell you my programmer, Otis of Example 7, is AH.MAZING as well! He communicates every step of the way, and is just so dang helpful that you almost have to pinch yourself to believe how helpful he really is. He truly cares - which I think is hard to find these days. I can't tell you how wonderful this whole process has been, and I believe it's because I am working with two of the BEST people in the industry! THANK YOU both to the moon and back, and for being so fabulously you ;-)
So this week's 'Flowers of the Week' are a little thank you to Carolynn and Otis for all of their hard work! Have a look-see at this SPECTACULAR bouquet...
You bet your buttons this bouquet had to be spectacular ;-) Gorgeous, no? Oh I am so loving the poppies! The colors are stunning, and you know I love the unstructredness of it. I am seriously smitten with this one my dears. Hope you are too.
I am getting back on track, and starting to feel like me again ;-) I have something up my sleeve, and have a meeting this morning about it - hope to be able to share with you soon...as I am super duper excited about it. Here's to a wonderful week!

Happy Sweet Weekend
Wishing you darlings a fabulously sweet weekend! May you enjoy the summer sunshine and sundaes with friends this weekend :-) Because before we know it Fall will be upon us. Eeks - that's kind of a scary thought, no?
And because I am all about the details - I thought I would share this absolutely perfect sundae topping holder to hold all of your yummy topping choices...
Oh, and you bet your buttons I love the sugar filled hearts. It's a fabulous filler to hold up those signs ;-) And perfectly sweet too, no?
I'm off to get some rest - as I feel a cold sneaking up on me ;-( I do not like summer colds or sicknesses! So I hope to fend it off...with a sundae of course. Hehe...that will definitely make me feel better. And if for some reason that doesn't work - Aunt Millie's 'meat and potato' (with veggies and salad too) dinner and homemade peach cobbler (that is AMAZING) with the family on Sunday will do the trick for sure.
See you on Sunday loves for some sweetness...hopefully by then I will be feeling tip top again.

Hi loves! Happy Thursday to you. Aren't you thrilled it's Thursday? Goodness knows I am. And I can't wait for the weekend...because for the first time in weeks, I get the opportunity to sleep in. And let me tell you, I think I deserve it. I was up on Monday at 4:15 am to take my sister and her family to the airport, and then on Wednesday at 3:55 am to take my mom to the airport. I think they just like to torture me getting up that early, as usually I am going to bed not too soon before that! So nothing like going to be at 1:00 am and then waking up at 3:55 am! Granted, I came home and crawled back in bed but it's never the same as sleeping straight through the night, is it? And I am not a good sleeper to begin with. Never have been. Anyhoo, enough rambling...just wanted you to know how excited I am at the opportunity to sleep in ;-) Hopefully you too get to sleep in this weekend!
Okay, so on with this post. Have I told you that I really want to sign up for a sewing class that is taking place at the end of this month? I just haven't had the opportunity to do so yet. I had a fabulous sewing machine once, and used to know how to use it...but it was stolen when all my stuff was stolen and I haven't touched one since. So I thought it would be good for me to take a beginners class to learn the basics all over again, and on the latest machines...as last time I was self taught!
One of the reasons I wanted to take this class was because I had a specific project in mind that I wanted to do. And of course while my project has something to do with moons (hehe) and other things, these strawberry mason jar labels I just happened to stumble across a matter of minutes ago are kind of along the same lines...
So stay tuned my dears - I am going to sign up for the class at the end of the month, and will hopefully be able to share my special project with you sometime not to long after that! Well, that is if it all works out ;-)
In the mean time, you just might want to pick up some of these labels, as they are just too dang cute! How cute would they be on favors of homemade strawberry jam? And they have tomato ones too! I'm thinking homemade salsa for those ;-) Yet, you know me...they would make DARLING escort cards - with your guests name on the first line, and table number on the second...hint, hint!
