Tuesday Shoesday #43: Purple Rain

It rained yesterday!  And it's supposed to rain again tomorrow.  Really, rain in the beginning of October is not normal for these here parts...Northern California that is ;-)  And I swear the rain has gone straight to my head...goofy weather = goofy girl!

So are you singing Prince's song in your head right now? Oh come on, you know you are...purple rain, purple rain ;-))))  Well I am sorry about that if you are!  If it makes you feel any better, I'm still singing it in my head too.  But the title was soooo fitting for these...

Purple Hunter wellies are perfect for rainy day pictures outside, and Christian Louboutin velvet kitten-heel pumps are purrfect (hehe) for pictures inside...

Because you probably don't want to wear wellies all day ;-)  And I think this purple flower atop this cake is a perfect match for these velvet kitten heels...

The velvet on the kitten heels adds a lovely texture...and the flower's petals have a lovely texture too.  So gorgeous,no?

I am adoring the 'White Sugar' soap in the lavender paper, aren't you?  They would make fabulous favors at a bridal shower, or gifts at a bridesmaids luncheon!

Flowers of the Week: 6.13.11

Happy Monday my dears!  So tell me...did you have a lovely weekend?  Do anything fun?  The weather here finally warmed up, and I was able to get outside and take lots of pictures for Over The Moon Vintage Rentals...will be sharing a few with you later today, so be on the lookout for them ;-)

Tuesday Shoesday #26: Shoelicious

I don't know what it is about purple/pink/magenta heels that always seem to remind me of a specific cake - but they do!  Remember the post I did of three pairs of pumps and an ombre cake?  If not, make sure to have a look-see...it's a fun post. 

Well today I have another pair of pumps and a cake for you.  Today's pumps are a gorgeous shade of magenta!  Have a look-see at these Jimmy Choo Private suede sandals...

Gorgeous, no?  And as soon as I saw them, they reminded me of this cake...

Eeks - such a lovely match.  I am thinking that I need to start matching up shoes and cake every week...thoughts?  It would definitely make Tuesday's even sweeter ;-)

Tuesday Shoesday #23: 3 Pairs of Pumps & An Ombre Cake

I have to tell you that this post all started with two pairs of suede shoes - the fuchsia Christian Louboutin's (second picture) and the violet Miu Miu's (third picture).  I fell in love with both the fuchsia and violet colors, and thought they reminded me of something (yep, here I go again) - an ombre cake!  Well then, of course I had to find a third pair to pull it all together.  And the third pair ended up being suede pink scalloped Prada's (first picture).  Have a look-see at the pretty colored pumps...

The colors are so lovely together, no?  Oh yes, as proof on this ombre cake that they reminded me of...

Honestly, you gotta love posts that have shoes and cake!  Also, you know how LCW is ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS right?  Well that is why I almost always show you big pictures - so you can see the details that I am talking about!  Usually, when I put pictures side by side, which obviously make them smaller, you lose some of the details in my opinion.  However, sometimes a side by side is necessary for you to really see without having to scroll up and down to see the larger pictures.  So here one is...

Goodness they sure are pretty, aren't they?  And you know I have to ask you my dears - which pair do you like the best?  The pink, fuchsia or violet pair?

Lovely Lavender

I can't even tell you how much I am loving the lavender adorning the benches...

Not only that, but I love the urns filled with lavender plants, and the comfy white pillows on the benches. Sure does make for some simple, but oh so lovely ceremony decor!

Stunning hydrangea that would look fabulous grouped together for a simple bouquet/centerpiece, or purple bottles lining the tables with simple white blooms - perfection!

~ pump day #5: perfectly purple ~

Oh Christian Louboutin why do you torture me so?  All in the perfect shade for Fall, and a rich suede...seriously swooning here ladies!  Just have a look-see at these a.maz.ing creations...

~ favors: pretty posies ~

I have to admit...I still love the idea of pretty posies as favors for your guests.

Especially when they are in such stunning colors as these!  Can't you just see a little posy of wildflowers tied with some vintage lace for an outdoor soiree - oh, they would be so pretty.  And even if you don't use them as favors at your wedding, you can always use them as favors at a bridesmaid luncheon or bridal shower.

Tuesday Thought: Shades of Purple

I have a tendency to shy away from purple.  You see it is my mom's favorite color, and I think I had purple overload while growing up!  But, when I saw these pictures I knew I just had to share them with you.  What I love about this tabletop are all the shades of purple that are used - from lavender to a much deeper, darker shade...

The tabletop is simple, but elegant with the duponi silk tablecloth and napkins.  And the flowers follow the same theme.

And I L-O-V-E this wedding cake!  The simple design on each tier, topped off with some fresh flowers is so my style.

I think I am losing my shyness to purple!  But don't just stop at purple...every color has a variety of shades - it would be so pretty in yellows, oranges, blues, etc...  How about picking one color for your wedding and using a variety of shades of just that color?  Just a thought!
