~ homemade: fall inspired part I ~

Happy first day of fall!  And because today is offically the first day of fall, I thought what would be better than some fall inspired details.  I do have to admit that for the last two days I have been feeling under the weather, and I was struggling to be creative...but I rallied and came up with some super simple homemade ideas to start the season off right.  I had four hours to plan, shop, put together and photography this afternoon, and another two hours tonight to go through pictures and create my posts...whew, tired girl!  Anyhoo, here are some of the things I used (all from Michaels except the vase which was $5.99 at Home Goods)...

You will RARELY see me use anything that isn't living when it comes to flowers and such, but I couldn't resist these fluffies (as I am calling them)...maybe because they looked so soft and cuddly and reminded me of how much I wanted to crawl into bed and sleep!  All that softness got me thinking that they would make a lovely bouquet.  Nothing fancy, but sweet nonetheless...

Now that I look at the picture, I wish I had added an antique brooch or pin.  So try and imagine it with one...(sorry for the laziness)!  But you could also add some feathers to it too...as another option.  For the centerpiece, I just kept it simple with the fluffies and feathers...

I love how the feathers just happened to be the same color of the vase!

I think some of the fluffies were trying to escape on me.  Bad fluffies!  (yes, I'm losing it).  Here is the view of the table...

And a cute flower made out of pods and some ribbon for each seat...

So what do you think?  I have a couple more ideas coming up in my next post...like favor and escort card ideas!  So please check back soon...

And can I just say I'm so jealous you have somewhere like Michaels to get all these supplies from.... it would take days searching for that here! Wanna move to the US!
