~ tuesday thought: votive holders ~

Hi my dears!  So on Monday I told you that some changes were coming to LCW...and my Tuesday Thought post is one of them.  I plan on making my own Tuesday Thoughts.  Well, they are always my own thoughts, just not my own pictures.  I can't promise every Tuesday, but I do plan on trying to do at least two a month for you.

What is a Tuesday Thought post you ask?  Well, it is ideas that are usually DIY, mostly homemade, possibly things you have seen before, but hopefully used a little differently or in a new way. Or one thing used in a variety of ways.  It's a place for me to throw my ideas out there and see what you think...even it they are at times a little "out there".  I think by know you all know that I don't always use things as they are meant to be used, and that I like the element of surpirse and unexpectedness.  So you never know what I might come up with...the unexpectedness that you were looking for hopefully!

Are you ready?  Okay...gosh I sound like a cheerleader there don't I?  Let's try this again...This week's thought is all about votive holders,  well one in particular really, this one...

Just a typical 9 candle square glass votive holder, right?  Now we all know that we can put candles in it...but what else?  Hmmm....well how about candles and some coffee beans...

Yes, I know not too creative...but how cute is the coffee bean "x" and the candle "o"?  Do you see it?  And you can only imagine how yummy this smells.  I also like to add a little golden sand to glam it up a bit...

Nothing that you probably haven't seen before, but how about using the votive holder as a planter for succulents?

Just fill all the circles with white sand and put in a couple of succulents.  It looks good with just a couple like above.  And any variety would work...

Or you could go all out and fill it all...

How about using the votive holder as an escort card holder?
Tuesday Thought
Sticks standing in a bed of crushed shells, in a shiny glass votive holder really takes the beach theme up a notch...kinda of beachy glam.  And the crushed shells are just fabulous...
Tuesday Thought
And my final thought for today is...how about using the votive holder to hold mini cupcakes on a dessert table?

Tuesday Thought
Cute, no?  Of course, I have lots more thoughts...like using them to hold or serve appetizers in, to hold toppings for an ice cream bar, to hold mini shots, to hold small favors in, or to hold cake pops...really, I think could go all day...but I will spare you the time!  But I also love to use them to hold small flowers in...and tiny floating ones are adorable!

My dear readers, you will have to let me know if you like this new ~ tuesday thought ~ post.  Should I continue to do them this way?  Would LOVE to hear your thoughts!

~ Ciao
