I L-O-V-E this idea!  I really, really do ;-)  And even if you don't want to use this idea for your ceremony, it would be fabulous just as decor or even for a photo booth.

Tuesday Thought: Flower Stand

Since the very first time I saw this flower stand I was completely smitten...

And I am still smitten with it!  So here is your simple Tuesday Thought for today:  Why not have a flower stand at your wedding/reception?  Eeks, it would be so over the moon, no?

You could use the flower stand as just pretty decoration (because we all love a little pretty don't we?), or you could even have it just like it is filled with flowers as favors for the guests where they can either pick their own bunch of flowers or you could have a person handing them out (so sweet)! 

And I can't even begin to tell you how cute it would be as a photo booth...

Mask-arade

We all know that masks have really made their way into the wedding world.  With them donned not only for photo booth pictures, but bridal party pictures as well...I couldn't help but think that if I was to wear a mask what kind it would be.  And to be honest, I really didn't think that I would find one that I would be over the moon about.  But, lo and behold I did! 

How amazing would it be to have not only the bride, but the bridesmaids as well wear one of these for pictures...

Now this is EXACTLY the type of mask that not only I would wear, but I would ask my girls to wear too!  It is stunning, ethereal, and fun all at the same time.  It would definitely make for some gorgeous pictures of you and the girls, no?

And then when I found out the price tag of this Rocco leather mask in white I just about flipped.  Here I was thinking it would be way to expensive to buy a handful of these...only to find out they are about $42.00 each depending on which style you choose.  Oh yes, there are more styles to choose from!  The masks are made by Tom Banwell, and are sold in his Etsy store...so be sure to head on over and have a look-see at his other designs.

Yep, this would definitely have me mask-arading around in no time ;-)

~ over the moon ~

...about this fabric backdrop for either decoration, your ceremony or your photo booth.

I love this idea of piece different fabrics together for a backdrop.  It is an fairly easy DIY, and such would be such a great detail to add to your big day.  I would also love to see it behing the head table...instead of a wall, if inside.  Just find some fabulous fabric and sew together!  Or bet yet, have someone sew it together for you ;-)))

I think this is just perfect, don't you?  And I don't think it would be too difficult to do.  Love the colors, the randomness of the colors and, of course, the flags at the top!

~ sunday sweetness ~

Welcome to my first ~ sunday sweetness ~ post!  As the title implies, I tend to bring you a dash of sweetness each Sunday....because, let's face it, we could all us a little sweetness on Sunday don't ya think?  And boy do I have a sweet one for you today!  I can't tell you how much I loved this photo booth backdrop, and the lights in the limbs...

And then when I saw this...

I was OVER THE MOON!!! One of the sweetest pictures I have seen in a while.  Don't you just love?

~ homemade: photo booth ~

Happy Thursday my dears!  Today's homemade post is an easy to do custom photo booth...really it's 1-2-3 and you're done.  Don't believe me?  Have a look-see...

(1) I hung my grandma's vintage tablecloth that she always used at formal affairs from a tree (yes, there are a couple holes and a stain here and there, but it reminds me of her and I thought it added to the whole look I was going for...and really to be honest they are not in the center were the photos are being taken), (2) added my vintage coatrack and mirror; and (3) added some vintage accesories - that's it!

Some of the accessories I added I found rummaging through my Great Aunt Millie's steamer trunk!  The sailor hats, faux fur hat and faux fur wrap were perfect additions I thought.  I also added some vintage gold and crystal necklaces for a glam look, and two aprons, one that tied around the waist and an adorable one that you pull over your head!  

And we know how popular mustaches are these days...but the one question I keep asking myself is why do they all have to be black and all the same style? Is everyone's mustache black? I have blonde hair...I don't want a black mustache! So I grabbed a couple different old style mustaches (and a pair of lips) from Photoshop, printed them out on cardstock, cut them out and then traced them onto pages in a vintage book, cut them out and adhered to sticks...the overall look cohesive and something that's still the same, but different (as Mr. Big would say...Kristi style)!

Using a tablecloth is a quick and easy solution for a photo booth backdrop.  There are so many sytles and colors out there that the options are endless!  

Proof that you can do an inexpensive (I spent $0 on this one), custom photo booth that is not only just right for your theme/style, but just right for you!

~ tuesday thought: custom photobooth ~

OMG - this is so adorable...I am just dying! How fun would it be to have this photobooth at your wedding?

A couple of 2x4's, some plywood, vintage wallpaper and pictures, and a couple of empty frames and you're on your way to a custom, made by you (or with the help of some friends) photobooth!  Another thought would be to use fabric to cover your plywood.  Or you could paint it.  How about painting a scene on it?  You could make one and then change the front by tacking fabric over.  However, I really love the vintage wall paper...but I could see pinning things on to it too...like flowers, hearts, notes from guests...  All just thoughts, but the possibilities are endless!  And I just love, love, love possibilities!
