Flowers of the Week: 11.14.11

Happy Monday to you loves!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend ;-)

So here is some oh so pretty flowers to start off your week...
Flowers of the Week
I am adoring this centerpiece.  I love the square wooden box, and I love that it's filled with what looks like freshly picked wildflowers...all topped off with a succulent.  Gorgeous, no?

Hope these brighten your week...and if not your week, at least your Monday ;-)

LCW Style: Anthropologie Alternative

Hello lovelies, how is your Monday morning going so far?  Splendid I hope!  I have to tell that I am in L-O-V-E with this Anthropologie dress...
Fashion
And I think it would make a gorgeous wedding dress for a casual beach wedding in Mexico or a bohemian wedding, don't you?  The gauzy, cotton material makes it a perfect choice to wear for warm weather, and the ruffle adds just the right amount of detail.  However, if it is to casual for you to wear on your wedding day...it would look just as darling as a rehearsal dinner dress, or you could easily change into it at the end of the night for a stroll on the beach with your new hubby.

And with a price of $228.00, I think I will be picking this up to wear this Summer.  No, not as a wedding dress, but because I love that much!

~ homemade: centerpieces ~

So I think I am really into this new series (see my post below)!  I don't know how much easier homemade centerpieces can get than this...
Homemade
Not only is this easy, but you're recycling...and every little bit helps!  What I really love about these centerpieces is that there are so many pretty options in cans these days.  I know we see a lot of tea tins and vintage tins...not so much of everyday cans though.  I'm sure you can find one or a whole variety that would be fitting for your outdoor or indoor affair!  I keep thinking of the oatmeal tins that I love...how perfect would they be for a breakfast reception?

And remember, flowers look fabulous in them...but so do veggies which would be cute for a garden reception...or to serve appetizers in.  Oh, now I'm thinking...empty olive oil cans filled with breadsticks...love it!

Happy Thursday my dears...it's almost my birthday...woohoo!!!!

~ flowers of the week: 6.1.10 ~

Yeah, it's June!  And with the official start of Summer this month...I thought I would give you a couple of arrangements that I am crushing on!  All by the a.maz.ing Saipua (oh, they have lovley homemade soaps too).  Have a look-see...
Flowers of the Week
You know how I have a love of loose, flowing, not so structured, casual arrangements - these are so me!
Flowers of the Week
Love, love, love the olives!
Flowers of the Week
I love this one!  The urn, the olive branches...so Italy to me.  Perfect for a wine country wedding.
Flowers of the Week
Green and white in a vintage, chippy paint urn - yes, please!  Honestly, I would take them all.  Do you likey?  Happy June inspiration!

This week I am loving this casual pink arrangement...
Flowers of the Week
I love the fact that it's in a mason jar (one of my favs), and with it's simple white ribbon it would look perfectly in place at a casual, outdoor soiree!

~ you are seated at... ~

I am sure a lot of you have seen this before...but it's just so great that I had to post anyway.  Now this is the out of the box thinking that I love!  A whimsical way to seat your guests...
Wedding
I love the originality here - the way the names are listed on the board with different fonts.
Wedding
And what a great way to assign tables - no numbers here!  Just dragonflies...

Goldfish...

Frogs...

And lions, rabbits, butterflies - oh my!  What table would you wish to be seated at?  Me...any would be great...but I really love the stately lion and the frog.

flowers of the week ~ 4.5.10 ~

After last weeks button bouquet, I thought I would soften things up this week...and boy is this arrangement doing it for me today...
Flowers of the Week
Natural, loose, soft and the colors - stunning.  I have to tell you that I am a casual, loose, flowing bouquet kinda girl...there - I admit it!  But, that doesn't mean I can't appreciate and love more formal and elegant styles too!  So don't fear my more formal gals, because I will share (as I hope I have done in the past) a variety of flower styles.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend.  I can tell you that this was the best Easter ever, as my sister made me an Auntie of an almost 10lb baby boy on Friday night!  I couldn't think of a more perfect Easter present - oh yes, I am proud!  Happy Monday.
