Hey sweet peas! It's Tuesday...which means it's time for another 'Tuesday Thought.' I love doing this post. For me, sometimes it's like finding a needle in a haystack...100's of pictures later, I find the one that triggers a thought ;-) Well honestly, they all trigger thoughts...but I'm always on the lookout for one that would work for weddings and events (even though I usually can make them all work...hehe), can be something that you yourselves can recreate and of course, most importantly, is a bit different!
So here is the picture that triggered thoughts to swirl and twirl inside my head...
How simply spectacular are the globe lights with pictures, notes and bits and pieces? LOVE it ;-)
So here is a simple thought for today sweet peas: While you can always use globe lights to hang pictures from at your wedding, I think this would make a FABULOUS escort area for an evening wedding! Talk about a winter wonderland come to life...string up globe lights, or twinkling ones if you'd like, and clip your escort cards right on! I might add little sprigs of greenery here and there too.
You could even take it up a notch by using glittered clothespins (like the ones I make here...nice plug, no?) so they sparkle and shine. Oh and if your looking for globe lights, well I have those too...in clear and frosted ;-)
Granted, these globe lights are fantastic outside too...so all the Spring and Summer garden, winery, beach, ranch, barn, etc...weddings would all work perfectly as well. And you can always change out the style of clips to fit your theme/setting.
Also, I think having your guests clip on notes for the two of you...to help your love shine...would be cute too!
What do you think sweet peas? A good thought?

Darling Detail No. 21: Feather Garland
Garlands of feathers hanging overhead...
...are not only darling, but pretty darn spectacular too. (Hehe - just had to fit in one last feather post.) I sure do wish I was going to a wedding or event this weekend that had this, don't you?
And while I am not going to a wedding this weekend with feathers overhead, I am looking forward to this weekend as I am crafting an order, crafting up some other sparkly goodness, putting together Luna and Chloe's Etsy store inventory, working on a display area setup for something...will share more with you soon, hopefully going to see the movie The Help, picking up a rental, and taking a 6 hour sewing class on Sunday which I am soooo looking forward too! And if time allows I plan on fitting in an afternoon nap on Saturday. Oh how I love afternoon naps...yes, I will make sure that time will most definitely allow ;-)
My dears - hope you have a spectacular weekend!

A Perfect Picnic Setting
With all the crazy that has been the last two weeks, I think a picnic wedding would be perfection right about now...

Aisle Style: Breathtakingly Bold
I am adoring this yarn ball filled with flowers adorning the aisle...
Such a fabulous way to decorate the aisle, don't you think? And just have a look-see at the amazing spot these yarn balls led up too...
A breathtakingly bold spot in which to say your vows in front of. Now this is what I call...over the moon!
Goodness, there are so many ways in which to decorate the aisle and ceremony spot. It is one spot, I think, that is sometimes forgotten. However, proof above that this is a spot where magic happens. So don't forget to create some magic of your own loves!

Tuesday Thought: Plated Escort Area
Happy Tuesday loves! I am quite excited today is Tuesday, as my puppy sitting duties for my cousin starts today while she and her hubby head to New York. So for the next couple of days I get to hang with one of the cutest puppies! Oh his name - Gus, and I hear that he likes to cuddle ;-)
But before I head off to get licked to death, I thought I would share with you the 'Tuesday Thought' for today. Have a look-see at this ceremony backdrop...
Fabulous, no? While this was used for the ceremony backdrop, I had another idea the first time I saw this picture.
So here is your Tuesday Thought: Use this idea for your escort area. Just write your guests names on the plates with either the table number next to their name, or have a table number on each plate with your guests names below! Sounds like a lovely and fun idea to me. And once everyone finds their seats, remove the plates and you have a great backdrop for a photo booth too. Talk about multiple uses here ;-)
And before I start to list a handful of other ways to use...I am off - to give scratches behind the ear and belly rubs! See you tomorrow my dears.

Over the Moon
...about kites at weddings - especially homemade ones!
I would love to have the kites flying during the wedding and reception. A breezy locale would be perfect to fly these homemade wonders.
Or I would make bunches of smaller ones, offer one up to each guest and have them all fly them at the same time - can you even imagine the pictures? Eeks! And I might even take it a step further and have the guests write a wish on a piece of ribbon or fabric, tie it to the tail and then fly them!
Even if flying the kites isn't involved, they sure would make for some pretty and whimsy decor. It would be 'KITETASTIC' (yep, a new Kristism), wouldn't you agree?

Happy Long Weekend
Yippe it's Friday! And not just any Friday, but the Friday that kicks off Memorial Day weekend and the weekend festivities. To me, Memorial Day weekend is the start of Summer! And I LOVE Summer. However, this weekends temperatures are definitely not warm and summery that's for sure. But I'll take the 69 and sunny for the next 3 days...I'll just be wearing an extra layer to stay warm.
This weekend I plan on doing a bit of wandering! Yes, wandering. Wandering down a new path(s)...for not only Luna and Chloe Weddings and Over The Moon Vintage Rentals...but life in general. I have made a handful of changes since the beginning of the year...starting with deciding to launch OTMVR and a website and blog, as well as getting LCW a new spruced up look too...but I have also made some big decisions in my personal life as well. And with being so busy lately, I am looking forward to this weekend just to wander. To see where life might take me next, to be inspired, to make some final decisions on a couple of pending questions, and to make sure that I see all that is around me. I am hoping for a long path that leads me to new places...
Where I can sit back, relax and enjoy the view...
Or maybe go for a little ride, and feel the wind on my face...
Sounds like a weekend of pure bliss to me! I plan on moving at a snails pace all weekend...no schedule, no alarms, and with an I'll get there when I get there attitude (which is sooooo not me, and I know I will struggle with it but I'm gonna try!). And I think I just might have already started with getting this post up sooo late! See changes ;-)
Whatever it is you decide to do this holiday weekend - be safe, and ENJOY! I wish you an OVER THE MOON holiday weekend!!!
I won't be back until Tuesday loves, as I am taking a mini blog vacay ;-) So I will see you on Tuesday with lots of lovely!

Homemade: Flower Filled Peat Pots
Happy Thursday loves! Is everyone having a wonderful week so far? Well if not, the good news is tomorrow is Friday...woohoo. I love Fridays ;-) However, before I get too excited about tomorrow, I thought I would share this fabulous little idea I spotted over one of my favorite blogs, French Larkspur. Every time I go there I am inspired! It is eco-friendly, cost effective and a farily easy DIY! Here have a look-see at these hanging flower filled peat pots...
Darling, no? To get the how to and see more pictures, click right here. However, you only need some peat pots (I bought some at Home Depot for a couple of dollars for a bunch of them), dried flowers (any dried flower would work), ribbon and some embellishments to make your own. And I love that not only can they be decorated in so many ways, but that you can also use them on the table! Oh me likey ;-)
P.S. - I also have a super duper easy Homemade post on Over The Moon Vintage Rentals too. Click right here to see!

Vintage cow bells tied with fun ribbon and pom poms at the end of each row is downright darling...
What fun it would be to ring those bells as the new Mr. and Mrs. walk down the aisle after saying their I do's! You can't help but smile just thinking about it, no? I can't. I can imagine bunches of different sounds from lots of different bells. Ooh, I LOVE it!

...about all of these chandeliers!
Eeks!!! Holy moly this is so gorgeous, no?
However, I want to make a small point here...while the chandeliers above are fabulously gorgeous (and would be pricey if you had to purchase on your own)...what really makes the picture above so over the moon for me is that there are mulitples of them! One chandelier in the picture above would be great, would it not? However, having multipe chandeliers is what really makes a statement without being too over the top...or what I call "over the moon".
My point: mulitples don't necessarily have to break the bank or budget to be over the moon. A lot of homemade paper chains, golden paper stars, bunting, twinkling lights, hanging mason jars filled with candles, etc.. are all fairly inexpensive items...yet, all over the moon in my book! So when you are thinking of adding a detail to your big day, think about how to take it from great to over the moon. For example, three paper chains over the tables are great, but 5 or 7 would be over the moon!
P.S. - Just don't go over the top...unless that is the look you are going for...and then go big...really big ;-)

Perforated Paper, Yes Please
Well really Papel Picado...which literally means "perforated paper". Papel picado is a Mexican folk art of cutting paper into elaborate designs commonly used at celebrations and events. And while I am sure most of you lovelies have seen papel picado, I can't help post the picture below as it is papel picado perfection to me.
You see...papel picado is usually made from brightly colored paper...however, I am LOVING the neutral color of this one. By far this is my favorite one to date! I also love how the papel picado fits perfectly not only with the venue of this wedding, but the decor as well. Here have a closer look at the tables...
See perfectly, no? ~~~SQUEAL~~~ Yep, that's me excited! Excited about how much I love the papel picado, how fabulous this table decor is, and to again be able to show that a neutral color palette for a wedding can be oh so gorgeous!
