I just L-O-V-E everything about this picture...
The glass jars, the buttons, the vintage silverware, the color...all of it! I think the reason it appeals to me so much is that these are some of the things I like and collect (especially the vintage silverware)...among others.
Do you collect anything? Well if you do...here's your Tuesday Thought: incorporate them into your wedding. I mean, how cute would it be to have each table be something different - placed in a pretty jars like the ones above you could have a button table, a vintage silverware table, etc... It would allow you the opportunity to show off your collections and provide a great centerpiece display. Just add some small jars of flowers, candles or other little things and you have a very personal centerpiece! (P.S. - I'm working on a photo shoot doing this...and it looks amazing!)
And if you don't want to use them as centerpieces...I am sure you can find other places to have them on display...a mantle, a vintage cabinet, at a welcome table...you get the idea.

~ tuesday thought: cute + cool coasters ~
Following yesterday's cute as a button post (which I just loved!) I stumbled upon a flickr fav of mine from Sarah Parrott...of Sarah Parrott Designs. How cute are these letterpress coasters...
I am really loving the whole button theme! And if buttons aren't your thing, she has cool record ones too...
Perfect for music lovers don't you think? Not only would they make adorable gifts for the bridal party, but they would make great favors as well.
So here is your Tuesday Thought: You could use them at the wedding - yes, as coasters....but you could also use them as seating cards or place cards. Or, you know me, make them into garlands! Have the records ones spinning in the breeze outside under a tree. Or decorate chairbacks at the reception, or string them together to line the walkway. Or use them as tags attached to favors. Or write on the back and send them out as Save the Dates...
Oh yes, I could probably go on all day...but I'll leave you with those for now! All can be found right here.

I am completely crushing on this stlyed button themed bridal shower photo shoot captured by the ever so talented Jessica Clarie. This is definitely one of my favs...
A fabulous runner with buttons stitched on, and...
Buttons everywhere!
And I am dying over these button topped baby cakes by Erica O'Brien!
Gorgeous flowers in white, yellow and orange...
And to top it all off - a button garland!
I have made these before, and I still love them! But you know me...I love things that hang, float, swag, blow in the breeze...
Hope everyone had an amazing weekend. Happy Monday!

Flowers of the Week 3.29.10
Here's a different take on wedding flowers that I am swooning over! Take a look-see...
Vintage buttons made into bouquets for the bride and bridemaids...how fabulous is that? And how cool is the color palette? So summery for an outdoor vintage themed wedding. Talk about something that you can keep forever, and they will look just as good 10, 20, 50 years from now as on your wedding day. Oh, so cool! Even if you don't want a whole bouquet of them, it would still be fun to incorporate some into you bouquet. What do you think?
P.S. - Hey mom, save all those buttons you have for me! I just found the perfect use for them.
