Flowers of the Week: 8.1.11

Happy first day of August darlings!  So sorry for only one post on Thursday, and no post on Friday last week...it has been a whirlwind around here with my family coming in on Wednesday, and getting ready for the Fizz & Frills event this coming weekend in San Francisco.  I am going to be there with lots of goodness, as are lots of other fabulous vendors, so I sure do hope that you stop by and say 'HI'!!!!  If you haven't purchased your tickets yet,you can do so right HERE ;-)))

I do have to tell you that I am OVER THE MOON about all the time with my family!  Goodness, my niece and nephew are soooo darling.  I didn't think it was possible to love them any more than I already did...but I do - BIG TIME!!!  And why is it that babies just smell so darn good?  Golly I could sniff my niece and nephew all day long.

Okay, I know...wedding  blog and 'Flowers of the Week' ;-)  And I have some fabulous ones for you today.  Have a look-see at this loveliness...
Flowers of the Week 1a
Lovely, no?  I L-O-V-E the fern frond and flower at each place...just the kind of detail that sends me over the moon.  Plus, I think you all know how I feel about ferns ;-)

This week I am booked solid with family activities - Monterey Bay Aquarium and Gilroy Gardens to name two, and work, and getting ready for the Fizz and Frills event that I will try my hardest to post every day...but I can't promise it.

I can promise a FABULOUS guest post from Chris at Postcards and Pretties that you won't want to miss on Wednesday though!  So be sure to stop by...and I promise that life and LCW will be back to normal after next week ;-)  Wishing you all a wonderful week!  Mwah.

Flowers of the Week: 6.13.11

Happy Monday my dears!  So tell me...did you have a lovely weekend?  Do anything fun?  The weather here finally warmed up, and I was able to get outside and take lots of pictures for Over The Moon Vintage Rentals...will be sharing a few with you later today, so be on the lookout for them ;-)

For the 'Flowers of the Week' this week I thought I would give some attention to small arrangements...which can be just as fabulous as the big ones!  So here are two small but fabulous centerpieces that I just adore...

Flowers of the Week: 6.6.11

Happy Monday loves! I still can't believe it's the first Monday in June, as it feels more like March around here with all the rain and cooler temperatures.  We are actually supposed to hit the low 70's this week, and I couldn't be more over the moon about it.  I think once the temperature heats up, I might be able to wrap my head around the fact that it is finally Summer!

So to kick off this first Monday in June and the start of Summer, I thought I should post some extra pretty 'Flowers of the Week' this week.  Sound like a good plan?  I think so ;-)  So without further ado, here is 'extra pretty'...
Flowers of the Week
Tell me these centerpieces aren't perfect for Summer!  I adore the different containers each centerpiece is in, as this is my preference for centerpieces.  And I love the look and feel of the first arrangement.  However, the second centerpiece looks like an amazing window box!  Eeks - I would love to look out my window every day and see that...wouldn't you?

Here's to sunshine, warm temperatures, pretty flowers and a lovely week my dears!

Flowers of the Week: 4.4.11

Oh boy do I have bunches, and I mean bunches, of loveliness to start off your week my dears!  You know how OVER THE MOON  I am about every.single.thing that Kate, of Flowerwild, designs...well, I have a handful of her amazingly beautiful creations for you this morning.  Just have a look-see at all the lovely...
Flowers of the Week
This first arrangement is flower heaven for me.  Or what I would expect it to look like!  The colors, the texture, the feel = perfection.  Up next, we have two beautiful bouquets...
Flowers of the Week
Oh me, oh my...beautiful, no?  It's those berries in the smaller bouquet that I am loving.  But hold on, there is still more.  Next, are two more bouquets that are just dreamy, and would be fabulous for a Spring wedding with the little pop of yellow from the stamens of the five petal white roses...
Flowers of the Week
I am loving the wrapped stems on the larger bouquet (first two pictures), and the Queen Anne's Lace in the smaller bouquet (third picture).  And goodness, we can't forget the boys...
Flowers of the Week
Tell me the boys wouldn't look dapper sporting one of these bouts!?!  Did I not tell you...lots of lovely!  And lots of exclamation points too ;-)  Now this is exactly how I like to start off my week, don't you?

My darlings, I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  And I hope these flowers add some lovely to your April day!  Looking forward to a great week here at LCW.  Hopefully, with lots more lovely ;-)

Flowerwild February: Day 20

Wow!  I can't believe that this is the last day of Flowerwild February.  Didn't it just seem like February 1st yesterday?  I have to be totally honest here - I really don't want Flowerwild February to end.  I have really enjoyed looking forward to putting together some flowery goodness for you each day, and know that I am going to really miss it.  So to say this last post is bittersweet is an understatement.

However,  I am ending on a great note I think...as this last post has some of my favorite arrangements in it.  I am over the moon about the variety of vessels and flowers used for each arrangement, all of the different textures and the feathers!  Hope you enjoy this last post as much as I do...
FW-12
Eek - the last arrangement just gets me!  Seriously, how darling is it?  I just adore everything about it.

Also, I have to tell you that Kate, the designer and owner of Flowerwild, is just as fabulous as her arrangements!  I e-mailed her with a question that I received from someone, and not only did she get right back to me, she provided me with all the information that I had asked about.

Kate will always be the first person I refer not just brides too, but anyone that is in need of flowers!  Thank you, thank you, thank you Kate for allowing me to post all of your AH.MAZ.ING arrangements all month long!!!  I sincerely appreciate it...mwah!

P.S. - Who knows...maybe I will do another month filled with flowery goodness!

Flowerwild February: Day 18

I love the natural feel of this arrangement...
FW-10
No bright colors or big flowers in this beauty.  It has a calming, welcoming, cozy and easy feeling about it, no?  Absolutely perfect in it's simplicity.

Flowerwild February: Day 12

Since I didn't post red flowers on Valentine's Day, I thought I would make up for it today by posting a red arrangement...
FW-4
There is something about this arrangement that just mesmerizes me!  Every time I look at it I am drawn into the flowers, and get lost in all those magnificent petals that have no end.  Please tell me you know what I mean, otherwise you might just think I am losing it ;-)

Flowerwild February: Day 10

So how is everyone's Valentine's Day going so far?  Lovely, I hope!  Since it is Valentine's Day, I have a special treat for you for Flowerwild February.  What? You ask.  Well, I have not one, but four small but spectacular arrangements for you today...and they are not red, even though I do love you!

Pretty perfection, no?  My dears, I sincerely hope your day just keeps getting better.  Mwah, mwah!

Flowerwild February: Day 6

I really am having fun with Flowerwild February!  I hope you are enjoying it as well.  Just look at this gorgeous arrangement I have for you today...
Flowerwild February
Where do I even begin with this one!  I don't even know.  I love the amaranthus and how it dangles over the cup, and the trailing ivy (I believe) at the back.  And you know I just love the peony at the base of the cup.  So much flowery goodness here, no?

Flowerwild February: Day 5

While I prefer a low and loose arrangement or centerpiece, I would have to say that for a taller centerpiece this would be my choice...
FW-9
White and wonderful is what I am calling this one!  Hmmm...maybe I should come up with a name for each.  Anyway, it's the Queen Anne's Lace that is capturing my heart in this arrangement.  It's oh so pretty, isn't it?

I just can't get enough of those berries.  Such a gorgeous bouquet for a Winter wedding.  And how perfect is the bunch of berries on the table?  Definitely a detail that sends me over the moon!
